Emergency Medical Services Division

Vanderburgh County Fire Department is the only fire department in the local Tri-State area that provides advanced life support emergency medical services and ambulance transport. We serve the residents of the Scott Township Fire Territory, which includes Scott Township, the Town of Darmstadt, and Armstrong Township. In addition, we also provide assistance to other local agencies during times of need through our mutual aid agreements.

Our ambulances are staffed by career personnel and ready to respond to any medical emergency 24/7, 365 days a year. Each of our three stations have, at minimum, a crew consisting of a Firefighter/EMT and a Firefighter/Paramedic or Civilian Paramedic.
